THe Inch by Inch Approach

Our founder, Alana Jordan, has dedicated her career to helping organizations move missions forward.

She began her work in the nonprofit sector focused on communications, then shifted into development when she saw how much stronger fundraising efforts could be with the right storytelling and strategy. Over time, Alana realized development, often treated as a silo, is connected to every part of an organization.

She believes strong development comes from strong organizations. That means looking holistically at every level, from board members to frontline staff, and building a true culture of philanthropy. It also means recognizing that success is not only about the mission itself, but about supporting the people who make that mission possible.

Alana takes a people-first approach to creating sustainable, strategic plans that help organizations grow and then challenges them to keep reaching for what is next.

She understands the realities nonprofits and small businesses face: limited capacity, burnout, and an uncertain landscape.

Her work focuses on helping organizations make the most of what they already have, get laser focused on their goals, and align resources to achieve them. And if that path is not yet clear, she helps chart it by guiding leaders to define their next chapter and build a plan to get there.
